World Cup 2019: ICC allow to join Rishabh's team in place of Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan out from world cup

After being hit by Shikhar Dhawan, the ICC has approved the inclusion of Rishabh Pant in the Indian team. Indian team management wrote an application to the ICC to include Pant in the team instead of Dhawan, which has got approval. Due to thumb injury, Shikhar Dhawan is out of the World Cup. Rishabh Pant was already present in England as his cover.

A left-hand batsman has been included in the 15-member team of India. Although it is not clear whether Pant will be made a part of the Indian team in the match against Afghanistan.

After battling Nathan Coulter-Nile's ball against Australia, he continued batting. During fielding Dhawan did not come to the ground and Ravindra Jadeja took his place. After scrutiny in Dhawan's left-hand thumb, fracture was found and this is a great setback for Team India.

However, Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant can not be compared. Both of these players are quite different. Dhawan has got good experience playing in ICC tournaments. Pant is currently a young player but he got the advantage of being talented and got involved in the team.

It is noteworthy that Shikhar Dhawan has always been a great performer in ICC tournaments. This time too he had shown his stamina against Australia after having flopped against South Africa in the first match. Dhawan played the finest of 117 runs and made it easy for Team India to reach a bigger score. Dhawan runs fast after the eyes are formed and it becomes difficult for the opposition bowlers to stop them.
